What this covers

Jin Job is a personal career-management application, and Jin Job Auto-Fill is its companion browser extension. This policy explains what data the extension and the web app handle, why, and how it's used. Jin Job is operated by an individual developer for personal use of the Jin Job account holder — it is not a multi-tenant public service, and there is no public sign-up.

What the extension does

Jin Job Auto-Fill fills in job application forms on Naukri, Indeed, and LinkedIn using a resume, cover letter, and profile answers generated in the user's own Jin Job account. The extension never submits an application on its own — the user always reviews the filled form and clicks Submit themselves.

What data the extension accesses

• Job posting content— the title, company, location, and description of the job posting on the page the user is applying to, sent to the user's Jin Job account to generate a tailored resume and cover letter.
• Application form fields— the field labels on the site's own application form, read only to match them against the user's resume/profile data and fill them in.
• A personal access token— entered once by the user via the extension's popup, used to authenticate requests to the user's own Jin Job account.

None of this is collected for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and none of it is sold or shared with third parties. The extension does not read browsing history and does not operate on any site other than Naukri, Indeed, and LinkedIn.

Where data is stored

• The personal access token and a short-lived reference to a just-generated resume/cover letter are stored locally in the browser via chrome.storage.local. The pending-resume reference is cleared automatically after use, or after 20 minutes.
• Resume, cover letter, and profile data live in the user's own Jin Job account (Supabase), reachable only via the user's own personal access token.

Remote code

The extension does not load or execute any remote code. All of its JavaScript is bundled into the extension package at build time. Network requests to the Jin Job backend return data only (JSON resume/cover-letter content, or PDF file bytes) — never executable code.
